It has been almost six weeks since I had surgery on my back and had pneumonia. It has been a struggle trying to get back on my feet. I am determined to so I can get back to my art. I miss it a lot. Just wanted each of you to know I still here and that I haven’t forgotten all of you. Be back soon!

I appreciate your hanging in there with me. Once again I must asked for your patience. I am having back surgery and will be laid up for at least three to four months. Once this is done I will finally have all the health issues behind me.

I look forward to getting back to my art. I love creating and I really miss it right now. So be on the watch for my return!

I have been having major problems with my right knee again. The end of April and beginning of May I dislocated my knee several times. Unfortunately the dislocations did damage and have been off my feet for 6 weeks due to difficulty walking and extreme pain. I got word today after the pre surgery tests that my surgery is a definite go for this Friday (the 20th). It will be a knee revision again and I will be in the hospital up to 4 days. I don’t know when I will be back on my feet and stamping again. Hopefully sooner than later.

Further news regarding my knee

I saw the doctor on Thursday and this is the results of my appointment. I was on crutches and am now in a brace. The damage has occurred in my right knee…for those who know me know that I have had reoccurring problems with this knee including multiple surgeries.

They took x-rays and determined that my knee cap has slid over to the left. I am hurting a lot, having difficulty walking, and my leg is swollen. Unfortunately I received not such good news. I am being scheduled for surgery on June 20th. Since I had a knee replacement 6 years ago it will be another knee revision to fix the problem. I had a gut feeling that it was going to lead to this. Despite knowing what I would be told I couldn’t help but get upset when he told me. I simply couldn’t believe it was going to happen again. I hate to say this but with this surgery it bumps the total up to double digits…number 10. To cheer my myself up I told my mom that I bet I have had a lot more surgeries than most athletes. Anyway I have faith in this doctor…he is the best in Louisville. I do not know how long I will be laid up but am hoping not a long time.

I hope those who follow me will wait for me to return. I will return as soon as I can.

Not such good news…

I haven’t posted in a couple of weeks and it will be some time before I can post again. I sprained my knee and then fell causing even more damage. Am on crutches at this time and not sure how long it will be. The emergency said to do the following: RICE – Rest, Ice, Compress, and Elevate. I see my Orthopedic doctor on May 22nd and am praying for good news. Believe me I would rather be creating than lay around with my knee elevated. Until then…look forward to getting back on line!!
